Corporate Controller (Confidential – Distribution Industry)

On-site | Monday to Friday

Compensation: 125,000 to 155,000 annually

Location: Baltimore, MD

A long-established company in the distribution sector is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead its accounting operations and strengthen financial reporting, controls, and organizational discipline. This confidential role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in an operational, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure GAAP-compliant financials
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, credit exposure, collections, and Accounts Payable workflows
• Strengthen cash flow management and working capital performance
• Deliver financial insights that support executive decision making
• Mentor and develop the accounting team
• Drive improvements in processes, systems, and reporting efficiency
  
  

What Makes You a Strong Fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
• Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or construction preferred
• Strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills
• Experience with multi-state compliance is a plus
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and communication skills
