About The Role
The Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, budgeting, and internal controls. This position will work closely with leadership and operational teams to provide accurate financial information and support business decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting and financial operations
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Analyze financial results and provide insights to company leadership
- Monitor job, project, or production-related financial performance
- Partner with operations and management to improve financial processes and reporting
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, banks, and other financial partners
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiencies
- Lead and support the accounting team as needed
- Assist leadership with financial planning and special projects
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a Controller or senior accounting role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience overseeing the full accounting cycle
- Strong Excel and accounting systems/ERP experience
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Strong understanding of internal controls and accounting processes
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both accounting and operational teams
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or another project-based/operational environment preferred
- CPA or other relevant certification a plus
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
