Controller

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Hamden, Connecticut. This role involves managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and developing processes for month-end close activities. The position also includes conducting detailed analyses related to product sales, pricing, inventory, and other operational areas as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and implement procedures for a streamlined and efficient month-end close process.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive management reports to support decision-making.
• Analyze product sales, pricing, and inventory to identify trends and opportunities.
• Conduct operational analyses to provide insights into business performance.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to create detailed financial models and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis efforts.
• Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret financial reports with accuracy.
• Expertise in financial analysis, including operational and inventory analysis.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
