Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, job costing, WIP schedules, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple entities and business units.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting staff (AP, AR, Payroll).
- Ensure accurate job cost reporting and project profitability analysis.
- Collaborate with project managers, operations, and executive leadership to support strategic goals.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and financial procedures.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
- Industry experience in both manufacturing and construction is required.
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP accounting, and project-based reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Epicor, Sage, or ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a growing, fast-paced, and hands-on environment.
