Assistant Controller
Location: Pompano Beach, Florida
Schedule: Monday-Friday in office form 8-5pm (1 hour lunch)
Annual Salary: $90,000-$125,000

What will the Construction Assistant Controller do?

• Manage a team of operational accountants

Report directly to the CFO



• Journal entries, fixed asset management, accrue prepaid items, track adjustments for period end


• Month end close


• Work with ethe CFO in audit preparation

Bank and account reconciliations

What previous experience is required of the Construction Assistant Controller?

• Minimum of five years of accounting experience within the construction industry
• 
  Seven or more years of total accounting experience


• Proven supervisory experience, including oversight of AR/AP and management of a team (six or more direct reports preferred)


• Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting strongly preferred; related business or finance degrees considered with relevant experience)


• Seeking a mid-career professional who is ready to take the next step in leadership


• Construction accounting experience is essential; subcontractor experience is a significant plus
