This role is ideal for an early-career Buyer with 1–2 years of experience in direct purchasing who wants hands-on exposure to suppliers, cost negotiations, and day-to-day manufacturing support.
The Buyer will work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering to ensure materials are available to support production schedules while maintaining cost, quality, and delivery expectations.

The Buyer will work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering to ensure materials are available to support production schedules while maintaining cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities For Buyer
- Source and purchase direct materials, components, and sub-assemblies in support of manufacturing operations
- Support assigned commodity areas, assisting with supplier selection, pricing, and delivery performance
- Resolve supplier issues including late deliveries, quality concerns, and pricing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within the ERP/MRP system, including pricing updates and item master maintenance
- Assist with cost negotiations and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to mitigate material shortages
- Communicate regularly with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the supply chain and purchasing function
- 1–2 years of experience in a direct buying or purchasing role within a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to purchasing materials such as metal, electrical components, fabricated parts, or mechanical components preferred
- Experience working in an ERP/MRP system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within a purchasing or supply chain career path
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
