Overview Of The Bookkeeper / Accountant Role
- Process accounts payable, cash receipts, and payroll (ADP).
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and track restricted funds.
- Ensure confidentiality of financial information.
- Communicate financial information clearly to non-financial staff.
- Provide accounting support and training across locations.
- Collaborate with leaders while respecting decision-making authority.
- Travel locally as needed, with minimal evening commitments.
- Contribute to a supportive, collaborative accounting team.
- Experience in accounts payable, cash posting, and payroll (ADP).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
- Nonprofit/restricted funds accounting experience
- Proactive and self-directed with strong communication/interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel locally for on-site support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Supportive of a religious, faith-based culture.
