Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Lead and manage the full month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to identify operational efficiencies
- Partner with plant leadership to improve cost controls and margin performance
- Monitor production metrics and provide financial insight into operational results
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial models
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic business decisions
- Provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations
- Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls within a manufacturing environment
- Support external audits and ensure audit readiness
- Assist in developing policies and procedures to improve financial processes
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership
- Serve as a key financial partner to plant management
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience within manufacturing (required)
- Strong cost accounting and inventory management expertise
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle month-end close independently
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- CPA or CMA designation (preferred but not required)
- Experience in a multi-site or high-volume manufacturing environment
