We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician with HVAC certification to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations for residential, commercial, or industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining building systems, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Diagnose and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and complete repairs in a timely manner.
Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and emergency service calls.
Conduct building repairs, including carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and general facility maintenance.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inventory of parts and supplies.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local building codes.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs when needed.
Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and performance.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
HVAC Certification required (EPA Section 608 Certification preferred or required, depending on applicable regulations).
Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or facilities experience.
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if travel is required).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to work on-call, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial HVAC systems.
Additional certifications in electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance.
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
OSHA safety training is a plus.
