CIVIL LITIGATION PARALEGAL
Location: Petaluma, CA
Pay: $36–$40 per hour
We are recruiting for a Civil Litigation Paralegal on behalf of our client in Petaluma, CA. This opportunity is with a growing practice focused on Plaintiff’s Personal Injury and Employment Law. The ideal candidate will have strong civil litigation knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a positive, client-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
Civil Litigation Duties:
Work directly with clients to gather information, respond to discovery, propound discovery, and provide case updates
Draft, organize, and manage pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents for court filing
Handle court filings, service of process, and assist with trial preparation
Communicate professionally with opposing counsel, experts, and vendors
Obtain, review, and organize medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Maintain organized case files (digital and physical) using case management systems
Prepare and send mailings, assemble pleadings, and manage document tracking
Collaborate closely with attorneys and team members to ensure smooth case progression
General Paralegal Duties:
Assist with front office coverage as needed
Maintain an organized and professional workspace and filing system
Schedule client meetings, calls, and document signing appointments
Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and photocopying
Prepare legal documents for execution and assist with signing appointments
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience and/or Paralegal Certification
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with Apple (Mac) systems
Familiarity with office equipment (printers, scanners, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor and appearance
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Resourceful, proactive, and solution-oriented
Strong customer service mindset and team-oriented attitude
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with Paralegal Certification preferred
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Clio Case Management Software
Experience with legal drafting software
Active Notary Public Commission
