What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Centurion Selection?
We are working with an established General Contractor who are seeking an Estimator to support public sector construction projects throughout South Florida, including municipal, education, and government facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for public sector projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and scope reviews from plans and specifications
- Analyze bid documents, addenda, and contract requirements
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Assist with bid submissions, leveling, and post-bid reviews
Qualifications:
- 3 years of construction estimating experience (public sector preferred)
- Strong knowledge of plans, specifications, and bid procedures
- Experience with hard bids and government procurement a plus
- Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
- Familiarity with South Florida market and public agency requirements preferred
