Assistant Project Manager – Construction
Healthcare | K-12 | Multifamily | Commercial Projects
We are seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful execution of construction projects across healthcare, K-12, multifamily, and commercial sectors. The APM will work closely with Project Managers and field teams to assist with project coordination, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and overall project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in managing all phases of construction projects
- Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and change order management
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, and project documentation
- Communicate with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams
- Help maintain project schedules and monitor key milestones and deliverables
- Participate in OAC meetings, subcontractor meetings, and site coordination efforts
- Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure project compliance
- Track long lead items, material deliveries, and subcontractor performance
- Assist with project buyout, permitting, inspections, and closeout documentation
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control procedures, and company policies
- Utilize construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project
Preferred Project Experience
- Healthcare and OSHPD/HCAI-regulated facilities
- K-12 schools and public works projects
- Multifamily, mixed-use, podium, and wrap developments
- Commercial office, retail, hospitality, and tenant improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 2–6 years of experience in commercial construction project management support
- Experience supporting healthcare, education, multifamily, or commercial projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction operations, scheduling, and document control
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $100,000 - $135,000
