Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in labor and delivery, including monitoring, assessments, and interventions.
- Assist with deliveries, both vaginal and cesarean, as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Function effectively in high-stress situations, demonstrating creative problem-solving and prioritization skills.
- Serve as a leader on the unit, delegating tasks appropriately and supporting team members.
- Current New York State RN license.
- BLS and NRP certifications required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to function well under stress with strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
- Willingness to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Candidate must reside within 60 miles of Watertown, NY.
