Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neuro ICU is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill neurological patients. The RN will work collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage” nursing model.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a Neuro ICU setting
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and evaluate patient care
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage life-support equipment
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Support a safe, healing environment that prioritizes patient outcomes
• Serve as a role model for quality patient care and professional practice
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required (within the last 3 years); prefers higher level acuity than Med/Surg.
• Strong Med/Surg RNs will be considered.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license
• Compact license holders must obtain Florida RN license within 60 days of relocation
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA required within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required within 90 days of hire
• Education:
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
