Summary of Position
The person performing this job provides online instruction and facilitation for medical office related courses offered in the Office Technology Department. The duties of the incumbent will include preparing instructional materials, such as curricula and syllabi, and delivering instruction as required.
Adjunct (part-time faculty) positions are semester-based with compensation determined by course load and institutional pay schedule.
Education and Experience
Associate’s degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required (with office related courses documented on transcript).
Bachelor’s degree with a major in Business/Office Education or a related field preferred (also with course work in specific areas to be taught) preferred.
A combined five years of relevant experience related to medical administrative support or medical office management, with a demonstrated ability to efficiently handle abroad range of administrative tasks. Proven experience in handling confidential information and utilizing office software.

Essential Functions
- Review and/or revise syllabi and prepare curriculum as needed.
- Conduct online and/or classroom instruction and facilitation, including instructional

- Evaluate student work, assess student learning, and monitor student performance.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all student activity related to current enrollments.
- Maintain computer skills and proficiency in current software applications.
- Participate in department meetings as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, hardware, and software problems.
- Stay abreast of new developments in the medical office/medical administrative industry.
