This position may be filled as either a Counselor Technician or Peer Support Staff, depending on qualifications.
About the Positions:
Both roles provide direct support to individuals in Behavioral Health residential and clinical settings by assisting with daily living skills, recovery goals, supervision, and structured activities. Promotes a safe, recovery-focused environment while supporting clients through skill-building, transition planning, and program engagement.

Position Requirements:
Counselor Technician:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Alaska Driver License
- Food Worker Card within 30 days of hire
- Counselor Tech Certification through ACBHC within 1 year of hire
Peer Support:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Lived experience in recovery (or supporting a family member with substance use or mental health conditions)
- Valid Alaska Driver License
- Food Worker Card within 30 days of hire
- Counselor Tech Certification through ACBHC within 1 year of hire
