Title: TRIO Retention and Transfer Advisor
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Administrators Unit. This position is classified as a Level III and budgeted for a salary of $51,677.73.
Responsibilities: CMCC seeks a full-time TRIO Academic and Transfer Advisor for its federally funded Student Support Services program supporting both Classic and STEM grants. This grant-funded position tracks student success, identifies persistence concerns, and recommends strategies to the Director. The Advisor develops and delivers programs and services designed to improve student retention and graduation rates, and assists participants with academic advising, financial aid information and application completion, and transfer college admission information and application completion.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, or a related field; with 3 or more years’ experience with direct student support services
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Master’s Degree in counseling, education or related field
- Bilingual or multilingual
- Experience with a variety of academic support activities, academic evaluation, academic advising, other student support services, data collection and data management.
