Title: Adjunct instructors for in-person Mathematics (Fall 2026 & Spring 2027)
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MSEA Adjunct Faculty Unit.
Responsibilities: Central Maine Community College seeks adjunct faculty to teach a variety of introductory level courses including quantitative reasoning and technical mathematics. The instructor will deliver and use a learning management system. The courses may be day or evening courses depending on availability but will be on-ground at our Auburn campus.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in mathematics or a related field (e.g., statistics, physics, math ed., etc.), or a Master’s degree with an additional 18 graduate-level credit hours in mathematics or statistics.
- A strong enthusiasm and passion for student learning, with the ability to respond to students' needs using a variety of teaching methods.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience teaching college-level mathematics or relevant field experience.
- Familiarity with Brightspace or other Learning Management Systems.
