Senior Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Planner

Location: Sabine Pass, TX

Job Type: 12-Month Contract (Extension Potential)

Schedule: 5/2 Rotation | 8 Hours Per Day

Pay Rate: $70.00 - $75.00 per Hour (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Planner to support maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution activities at a large industrial facility in Sabine Pass, TX. This role is responsible for developing and coordinating maintenance work plans, outage schedules, and project activities while ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of work.

The ideal candidate will possess strong maintenance planning experience, advanced SAP S/4HANA knowledge, and a solid understanding of instrumentation and electrical systems within LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, pipeline, or heavy industrial environments.

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance, outage, turnaround, and project activities.
• Develop detailed job plans and work packages including labor requirements, materials, tools, permits, procedures, drawings, and contractor resources.
• Create and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and long-range maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate work execution activities with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Construction, and Supply Chain teams.
• Utilize SAP S/4HANA to manage maintenance planning, work orders, equipment records, and scheduling activities.
• Review, prioritize, and manage maintenance backlog to support operational reliability and production goals.
• Identify material requirements and coordinate procurement activities with vendors and supply chain personnel.
• Monitor schedule compliance, workforce utilization, and planning effectiveness.
• Generate reports and KPIs related to maintenance performance, schedule attainment, backlog health, and work execution.
• Analyze trends and maintenance metrics and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
• Support outage and turnaround planning efforts to ensure successful execution.
• Assist with budget planning, cost control initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure all work activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the development and revision of maintenance procedures and planning standards.
• Promote a strong safety culture and operational excellence throughout all planning activities.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance planning experience utilizing SAP within LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, pipeline, or industrial facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and work execution processes.
• Experience developing detailed maintenance job packages and work plans.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC Card.

• Technical degree or related field.
• Experience with Prometheus planning software.
• Experience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Experience planning maintenance outages, shutdowns, and turnaround activities.
• Knowledge of scaffolding, insulation, painting, welding, fabrication, machining, rigging, lifting, and related maintenance crafts.
• Experience working in PHMSA-regulated facilities.
• Experience with gas compression and metering equipment.
• LNG facility experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively across teams.
