CEIS Power is seeking an experienced Utility Revenue Specialist with 1 years of recent experience in accounting, finance, billing, or a related field. This position is on a contract basis, and our client, a utility services company, is looking for a motivated individual to join their fast-paced, growing team. Requirements
- 1 years of recent experience in accounting, finance, billing, revenue, or a related field preferred.
- Recent college graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies, identify billing issues, and determine appropriate resolutions.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and billing requirements.
The right person for this position will be responsible for the following:
- Investigate and resolve billing errors utilizing the Customer Service System (CSS).
- Process billing corrections and adjustments in compliance with company procedures and audit standards.
- Interpret and apply utility tariffs, billing policies, and regulatory practices.
- Research client billing issues as directed.
- Maintain detailed records of billing activities using Excel spreadsheets.
- Assist with identifying billing discrepancies and ensuring accurate and timely utility billing.
- Contribute to process documentation and suggest updates to billing procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Support various ad-hoc billing projects and assignments as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to billing activities.
- Work effectively with internal teams to resolve billing issues and meet established deadlines.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
