Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support site safety programs across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA, client, and company standards
- Conduct regular field safety inspections, audits, and assessments to identify risks and drive corrective actions
- Analyze safety data, trends, and incident reports to improve overall safety performance and develop targeted solutions
- Support and mentor project teams, subcontractors, and safety staff on best practices, hazard recognition, and compliance expectations
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
- Develop, review, and implement Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safety procedures
- Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project safety orientations
- Collaborate with project teams during preconstruction to support safety planning and risk mitigation strategies
- Evaluate subcontractor safety performance and ensure adherence to project safety requirements
- Coordinate and deliver safety training, including just-in-time training for high-risk activities
- Serve as a technical safety resource for field teams and leadership
- Support emergency response efforts and crisis management as needed
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, reporting, and compliance records
- Contribute to continuous improvement of safety programs, processes, and corporate initiatives
- Bachelors degree in Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 5 years of construction safety experience (8 years in lieu of degree)
- Professional certification preferred (CHST, CSP, or equivalent)
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 preferred
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and high-risk construction activities (fall protection, excavation, cranes, electrical, scaffolding)
- Proven experience conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Willingness to travel or support project-based work as needed
