CEIS Power is seeking an experienced Metrology Technician to support inspection, reverse engineering, and quality analysis of turbomachinery components and assemblies using advanced portable 3D metrology equipment. This is a direct hire opportunity with an industrial manufacturing and service company supporting rotating equipment, machining, and repair operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience using portable CMM arms, laser trackers, optical scanners, and traditional inspection tools in a manufacturing, machining, or repair environment. This role will support both in-shop and field inspections while working closely with quality, engineering, and operations teams. This position may require up to 30% travel to customer sites for field inspections and support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and reverse engineering of turbomachinery components and assemblies using portable 3D metrology equipment
  • Utilize inspection tools including portable CMM arms, laser trackers, optical scanners, micrometers, calipers, XRF analyzers, and hardness testers
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
  • Generate detailed inspection and quality reports for internal and external customers
  • Support machine setup verification, assembly alignment, quality checks, and MRO inspections
  • Assist with post-processing inspection data into preliminary 3D models or CAD representations
  • Maintain inspection records and digital documentation within company databases
  • Support calibration, maintenance, and organization of metrology equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all safety procedures

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in metrology, quality inspection, machining, or related industrial environments
  • Experience with portable metrology equipment and traditional precision measuring tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T callouts
  • Strong understanding of quality inspection and dimensional analysis processes
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% for customer site inspections and field support

Preferred Experience

  • Turbomachinery, rotating equipment, or precision machining experience
  • Reverse engineering or CAD modeling exposure
  • Experience supporting industrial repair, manufacturing, or overhaul operations
