Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1 and project-specific codes and standards.
- Review and verify welding procedures (WPS), qualifications (PQR/WQTR), and documentation.
- Inspect welds using visual methods and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Monitor welder performance, joint preparation, fit-up, and welding processes on-site.
- Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and inspection records for client submission.
- Support quality control and safety initiatives through accurate, field-based feedback.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Active Certification Required.
- Minimum 5 years of field experience inspecting structural steel welding.
- Working knowledge of AWS, ASTM, and AISC codes and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
