CEIS | Clover Leaf is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead mechanical and structural design activities supporting all shop fabrication work in Jackson, South Carolina. This is a staff position (non-project-specific) responsible for the full lifecycle of equipment and system developmentfrom conceptual design through fabrication, testing, and installation. The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of efforts in the U.S. Nuclear, Federal, Industrial, and Power industries. This position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience and a strong foundation in fabrication-based mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities
- Design equipment, components, and systems for nuclear, heavy industrial, and power industry applications.
- Perform engineering calculations such as component sizing, thermal load analysis, fluid and gas pressure loss, and materials selection.
- Interface with fabrication shop personnel and construction teams to resolve design and installation issues.
- Develop procurement specifications and engineering design documentation.
- Prepare equipment drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), airflow diagrams, orthographic projections, system layouts, and isometric piping drawings.
- Use CADD software to support equipment design and layout preparation.
- Create work packages for fabrication and installation.
- Collaborate with shop teams to support manufacturability and maintain design compliance.
- Develop material take-offs and labor estimates for proposal development.
- Prepare specifications for material selection, welding requirements, and construction techniques.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to resolve complex issues and ensure accuracy, code compliance, and quality standards.
- Support the development of execution plans and task scheduling for fabrication and installation projects.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical or structural design, preferably in a shop fabrication environment.
- Demonstrated experience with the design and fabrication of mechanical equipment serving the nuclear, heavy industrial, or power industries.
- Proficiency in CADD software and piping isometric design.
- Strong working knowledge of equipment design, manufacturing techniques, and constructability principles.
- Must be able to obtain a DOE security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Knowledge of ASME B31.1 (Power Piping) and B31.3 (Process Piping) codes.
- Holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license or is capable of obtaining licensure in the state of South Carolina.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with QA programs, NQA-1 requirements, and ASME code documentation is preferred.
- Experience coordinating with fabrication, QA/QC, and construction teams in a regulated environment is a plus.
