Strategy & Management Consultant – ERP & Business Transformation
We are seeking a Strategy & Management Consultant who specializes in enterprise ERP‑led business transformation and operational change. This role partners closely with executive leaders to redesign operating models, modernize core business processes, and enable transformation through ERP platforms and best‑practice execution frameworks.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in Business Transformation initiatives, including ERP strategy, organizational change, process optimization, and technology‑enabled execution. This role is client‑facing, consultative, and highly collaborative—requiring regular travel and engagement with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Strategy & Enablement
- Drive ERP strategy engagements, including readiness assessments, platform evaluations, and phased implementation roadmaps
- Translate business strategy into ERP‑enabled process designs and functional requirements
- Align ERP initiatives with financial management, supply chain, manufacturing, and operational reporting needs
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure ERP programs remain outcome‑driven and business‑led
- Support ERP modernization initiatives (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar platforms)
Business Transformation & Strategy
- Lead and support enterprise business transformation initiatives, aligning strategy, operating models, people, process, and technology
- Partner with C‑suite and functional leaders to define future‑state business capabilities and transformation roadmaps
- Conduct current‑state assessments across finance, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and shared services
- Develop business cases, value realization models, and multi‑year transformation plans
- Support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and post‑merger integration from a process and systems perspective
Operational Excellence
- Redesign and optimize business processes using Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence principles
- Establish governance models, performance metrics, and KPI frameworks to sustain transformation outcomes
- Identify and mitigate risks related to organizational readiness, adoption, and execution
- Support change management, communications, and adoption strategies tied to ERP and transformation programs
Client Leadership & Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the lifecycle of large‑scale ERP and transformation initiatives
- Facilitate executive workshops, stakeholder working sessions, and roadmap reviews
- Contribute to solution design, proposals, and RFP responses tied to ERP and transformation services
- Mentor junior consultants and support internal capability development
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 5–12 years of experience in management consulting, business transformation, or enterprise strategy roles
- 10 years of experience with ERP software, including both evaluation/selection and implementations of NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Nav (Business Central), Great Plains, Epicor Distribution, Infor Distribution, or Plex in a manufacturing/distribution environment (strategy, implementation, or optimization)
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting ERP‑driven business transformation initiatives
- Strong expertise in business process design, operating models, and ERP‑enabled execution
- Proven ability to advise senior executives and manage complex, cross‑functional engagements
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
