Microsoft Sales Leader / Alliance Manager
Summary
The Solutions division at CEI is seeking a Microsoft Sales Leader / Alliance Manager to help us work with the Microsoft alliance team, develop sales plays, and identify new customers that need our services. The Microsoft Practice Head, Sales Alliance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Microsoft Practice within a company. They play a critical role in driving sales growth, building strategic alliances, and ensuring the successful delivery of Microsoft-related solutions and services. The Practice Head works closely with sales teams, partners, and customers to identify business opportunities, develop sales strategies, and cultivate long-term relationships. Our target customers are enterprises looking to modernize their applications using Microsoft. We offer a variety of services in Microsoft that includes app modernization, data platform, data integration, infrastructure automation, DevOps, new application development, and more. Expect to help customers understand the business value of our services and the Microsoft platform. You will work with our technical team of pre-sales architects to win business and create long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential customers, leveraging Microsoft technologies and solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Microsoft representatives, partner, and customers.
- Drive sales growth by leading the sales team, setting sales targets, and implementing effective sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing campaigns and collateral to support the sales efforts.
Alliance Management:
- Build and maintain strategic alliances with Microsoft and other relevant technology partners.
- Negotiate partnership agreements, establish joint business plans, and drive mutual revenue growth.
- Coordinate with partners to ensure effective collaboration and alignment in delivering solutions and services.
- Stay up to date with Microsoft’s product and solution roadmap, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Solution Delivery and Customer Success:
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of Microsoft-related solutions and services.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the pre-sales and post-sales processes.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet customer expectations.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and take necessary actions to address any issues or concerns.
- Team Development and Management:
- Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Provide training and enablement programs to enhance the team's technical and sales capabilities.
Qualifications
- Must have demonstrated experience selling technical solutions in the Microsoft ecosystem for 3 years. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships with the Microsoft sales team at the regional and corporate levels. CEI primarily works with customers on the East Coast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest.
- Prior experience selling consulting services for 5 years.
- Demonstrated ability to stay up to date on technology and business demands; able to communicate fluently with others on those topics.
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft product and solution and how that ecosystem drives business value for enterprise customers across the industry.
- An Eastern US candidate is preferred. Some travel (20%) will be required.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue objectives in complex solutions environment at Fortune 1000 and mid-market clients.
