What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department position at Cedar Park Group?
Cedar Park Med is hiring experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for level 1 Trauma Emergency Department. This role requires strong emergency nursing experience, formal triage training, and the ability to deliver high-acuity care with minimal orientation and supervision in a fast-paced ED environment.
Schedule / Shift

Days and Nights shift | 7:00 AM- 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Every other weekend and some holidays required required

13 weeks assignment with possible extension
***Hiring for both local and traveler positions! Only candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for traveler roles. Rates vary based on experience and whether the position is local or traveler.***
Required Qualifications

Current New York State RN license/registration
-
BLS certification (must be able to be re-certified)

Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level as the hospital

Experience with Adult and Pediatric Emergency Department

Must have strong triage skills and be formally triage trained
Preferred Qualifications

Adult ED experience (in addition to Pediatric ED experience)

Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience

Experience using EPIC Electronic Medical Records
Responsibilities

Perform the majority of patient care skills required in a pediatric emergency setting with minimal orientation and supervision

Conduct strong nursing assessments appropriate to ED acuity and specialty

Provide safe, effective nursing care for pediatric emergency patients

Apply formal triage training and strong triage skills to support patient flow and prioritization

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary ED team to support patient care delivery
