Registered Nurse - Adult - Med Surg (Telemetry)

Cedar Park Med is hiring experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for Adult Med/Surg Telemetry units. This role requires strong acute care nursing skills, including IV starts, lab draws, and telemetry monitoring, with the ability to deliver high-quality patient care with minimal orientation and supervision in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Schedule / Shift

• Day and Night shifts available

• Every other weekend and 2-3 major holidays required

• 13 weeks assignment with possible extension

***Hiring for both local and traveler positions! Only candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for traveler roles. Rates vary based on experience and whether the position is local or traveler.***

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license/registration

• BLS certification (must be able to be re-certified)

• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity

• Ability to start IVs, draw labs, and monitor telemetry

Preferred Qualifications

• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience

• Experience using EPIC Electronic Medical Records

Responsibilities

• Perform the majority of patient care skills required in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting with minimal orientation and supervision

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments appropriate to patient acuity

• Provide safe, effective nursing care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients

• Monitor telemetry and promptly report changes in patient condition

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care delivery
