Youth Respite Provider – Focused on Safety, Regulation & Support
We are seeking a patient, active, and nurturing provider for a young elementary, high-energy child with ADHD who thrives with engaging activities and continuous sensory regulation. The child benefits from structured play, creative projects, and caregivers who can anticipate triggers and provide safety/comfort during challenging moments.
Schedule:
- Fridays to Sundays (planned in advance with family, up to two weekends per month)
- Pickup from home (Bloomer, WI) Friday afternoon, drop-off Sunday by 5 PM
- Care Provided within Provider's Home
Starting Wage: $256/Overnight or $17.66/Hour
About Child:
- Loves swimming, Roblox, video games, Paw Patrol (Marshall/Chase), playgrounds, and outdoor play
- Enjoys creating, being active, and swimming
- Sensitive to frustration, may have meltdowns, headbanging, or lashing out
- Medication administration and nighttime toileting assistance may be required
Responsibilities:
- Provide structured and creative activities that engage the child’s interests
- Assist with medication and nighttime hygiene/toileting as needed
- Monitor and manage potential meltdowns safely
- Be a strong communicator who values collaboration with the family
- Offer emotional support, redirection, and space as needed to regulate feelings
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Experience with children with ADHD or sensory regulation needs is highly recommended
- Calm, patient, and confident in handling challenging behaviors
