PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM AIDE (Fairview Center Head Start) - To assist the teacher
and cooperate in a supportive role, providing and carrying out developmentally appropriate
activities and care. To promote the health, nutrition, and education of the children enrolled
in our Head Start programs and to attend to their safety and welfare.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Six months experience caring for preschool children preferably in a classroom
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work as team member with staff and parents
- Flexibility to work additional hours appreciated
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Valid Driver's License, current auto insurance and a good driving record
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Pre-hire: Fingerprinting/Background Check
Health Report
Post-hire: Annual Physical/Health History
CPR and First Aid Certification
Food Worker Card
Proof of current Driver’s License and auto insurance
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Location: Fairview Center Head Start
Supervisor: Center Coordinator
Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 hrs/wk), Part-Year (45 wks/yr)
Salary: $17.27 – $23.03 per hour DOE and education.
Plus benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, professional
