Plate Technician

CCL Label is the leading global supplier of decorative, informational and promotional labels as well as plastic tube packaging to the world’s largest consumer and healthcare companies.

The CCL Label facility in Lumberton, New Jersey is looking for a Plate Technician to join our team. This is a second shift position. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 3pm to 11pm.

The duties of this position are to manufacture high quality press-ready Plates/Screens for multiple processes.

The hourly rate is $19.00.

Qualifications:

Principle duties & responsibilities of this position:

1. Follow workflow of Process

· Job Jacket handling / Job Specifications / SOPs

· Schedules

· Delivery of components

· Remake of components

2. Manufacture Plates and Screens

· Flexo, Offset, Gallus Screens

· Maintain exposure times through back flash testing/measuring floor relief

· Maintain plate/screen integrity through main exposure testing/measure of dot

3. Perform regular PM (Preventive Maintenance) on Plate/ Screen processing equipment

· Cleaning /Lubrication

· Calibrations

· Replacement of “wear” components (Exposure bulbs, washout pads etc.)

4. Computer skills

• Proprietary digital image setter software
• Logging of all jobs.
• Components processed into Plate/Screen log spreadsheet.

5. Department Cleanliness

· Maintaining 5S

· Proper storage of Plate/Screen components

· General cleaning

The candidate will maintain high quality components that fulfill customer and in house demands due to schedule changes and or remake of components while managing a constant workflow of orders.

Other Special Qualifications: Plate theory / Mechanical background / Computer skills / Self-driven / Understand the principles behind printing / Understanding the needs required to keep the presses running.

Other pertinent information regarding this position: demanding position that requires a fast response time to the presses needs. Working overtime when needed.
