Job Summary:
The Controller leads and manages all aspects of finance and accounting for the Buffalo facility. Operate as business partner to General Manager and a key member of the leadership team to meet or exceed all performance targets. Maintain effective internal controls and ensure all reporting requirements are met. Provide key leadership in efforts to drive continuous process improvements. Oversee IT at the local level.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises all employees in the finance department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Active member of site leadership team, serving as a resource for key financial and operations information in order for the site to achieve performance goals.
- Execution of annual operating plan, providing leadership to business leaders.
- Continuous efficiency improvement in the Finance dept. Recommend changes and/or improvements to standard practices or procedures.
- Provide financial/analytical support for Capital project managers and business leadership.
- Responsible for efficient and accurate month-end / quarterly closing of financial statements.
- Oversee plant Physical Inventory process.
- Oversee IT at the local level.
- Review and monitor capital expenditures, fixed assets, inventories, payables and receivables.
- Analyze cost centers and work with department managers to improve cost position and provide direction.
- Utilize analysis to evaluate markets and account profitability with Strategic Pricing Manager.
- Provide leadership, direction, growth, and development for direct reports.
- Responsible for operations review and analysis to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and productivity gains.
- Direct the financial, tax, and capital reporting requirements and all related analysis and submissions.
- Oversee all forecasting requirements (P&L, Balance sheet, Capital).
- Manage finance department with the goal of superior customer service, both internal and external.
- Review and manage reserve requirements on a monthly basis.
- Develop, communicate, and audit all division financial policies and procedures.
- Lead team in achieving financial objectives.

Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related education.
- At least eight years accounting or related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- CPA or MBA.
- At least five years supervisory experience.
Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Starting salary range: $100,000 – 130,000, actual compensation will be based on experience.
