What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Specialist position at CBL Legal Talent?
Position Summary
In this role, you will mainly handle client billing and invoicing following the firm’s processes. You will also help with basic trust account tasks when needed. Maintaining confidentiality of client and firm information is very important.
Key Responsibilities
- Help prepare and send client invoices, especially during the twice-a-month billing cycle
- Handle billing issues for assigned clients, including e-billing matters
- Assist with preparing special billing reports for clients and internal teams
- Support trust account activities like deposits and payments
- Help employees and clients with billing questions or issues
- Assist with processing payments and depositing checks when required
- Perform other billing and accounting tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager
- Use billing and e-billing software as per firm processes
- Operate basic office equipment like computers, scanners, and calculators
Skills & Requirements
- Experience in accounting or billing is preferred
- Basic knowledge of using a calculator (10-key)
- Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer tools
- Good with numbers and basic math
- Experience in data entry
- Minimum education: high school or equivalent
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills to interact with clients, attorneys, and staff politely
- Comfortable speaking on the phone and handling queries
- Reliable with regular attendance
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
