Seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Marketing Department located in New Jersey. This position will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Duties include:
- Execute marketing and business development strategies to support practice group goals and objectives.
- Track, measure, and report on the progress and effectiveness of business development initiatives.
- Conduct competitive intelligence research and prepare detailed reports on clients, prospects, industry trends, and market developments.
- Maintain and update the firm's experience database to support marketing and business development efforts.
- Coordinate and prepare RFP responses, pitches, proposals, and client presentations.
- Develop, refine, and enhance pitch materials, ensuring consistency and efficiency across multiple offices.
- Track proposal and RFP outcomes, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Create and update marketing collateral to strengthen the firm's brand and practice group visibility.
- Prepare high-impact submissions for legal directories and rankings in collaboration with external PR agencies.
- Partner directly with attorneys to execute business development initiatives and strategic client development plans.
- Proactively recommend and implement innovative marketing ideas to engage target audiences and support practice growth.
- Leverage and maintain the firm's Contact Relationship Management (CRM) system to manage client and business development activities.
- Collaborate across offices and departments to ensure seamless execution of marketing and business development programs.
- Provide high-level client service and support to attorneys in achieving practice and revenue growth objectives.
- Strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Qualifications
- College degree and at least 5 years of marketing or business development experience required. Experience in a professional services setting preferred.
- Strong professional writing, proofreading and editing skills.
- Candidate should possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Powerpoint. Familiarity with Montor Suite and/or Redwood Analytics a plus.
Salary : $125,000 - $160,000
