Interested in joining a growing east-side contractor with multiple locations? This family-oriented team is seeking a Payroll Administrator for a 100% in-office role where accuracy, reliability, and strong Excel skills will play an important role in supporting day-to-day payroll operations.

Responsibilities
- Process payroll using internal timekeeping systems and a third-party payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, benefits, deductions, exemptions, and per diems.
- Generate payroll reports including earnings, deductions, and leave summaries.
- Handle unemployment claims and related documentation.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll questions.
- Ensure payroll processes follow internal policies and compliance standards.
- Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 and 1095 preparation.
- Support travel and lodging coordination for field teams as needed.
- Assist with additional administrative or payroll-related tasks when required.
- Collaborates closely with HR, accounting, operations, and the payroll provider.
Qualifications
- Prior payroll processing experience required.
- Experience supporting payroll in construction, contracting, or similar industries preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment.
- Education background in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience with construction payroll or timekeeping systems (such as Foundation Payroll) is a plus.
