Chemical Solvents Inc. has thrived for over 50 years in the Cleveland area providing commodity materials and blending services to a wide variety of industries including, but not limited to, construction, manufacturing, and specialty chemicals. We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources / Payroll administrator to join our team.
The HR / Payroll administrator will support key business functions across human resources, payroll, and hiring. This role will be responsible for managing payroll processes, leading internal hiring efforts, assisting in supporting employee benefit administration, as well as assisting with accounts payable when needed. The HR / Payroll administrator is an essential part of the team and is relied upon to help ensure the accuracy and efficiency of multiple processes, contributing to smooth day-to-day operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Address employee payroll-related questions and discrepancies.
- Mange full-cycle internal hiring for Plant, Lab, and Office positions including but not limited to:
- Post job openings
- Screen candidates
- Coordinate interviews
- Assist with onboarding new hires including facilitating background checks and physicals, entering employee information into payroll systems, verifying I-9 documentation, and ensuring completion of all required tax forms.
- Assist in managing employee benefits programs (health, dental, retirement, etc.)
- Assist in coordinating enrollments, changes, and updates in relation to employee benefits.
- Assist with accounts payable tasks as needed.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation for personnel.
- Ensure confidentiality of employees and company information.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualities Required:
- 2-3 years’ experience with payroll, human resources, and/or recruiting.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP software (Datacor C/S) preferred.
- GED or High School Diploma.
- College degree preferred but not required.
- Able to use Microsoft software: Excel, office etc.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $43,500.00 per year
