Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Sr. API Integration Engineer to support enterprise-wide integration initiatives across multiple business units and platforms. This is a contract engagement in which you will play a key role in helping modernize and automate internal processes by designing, supporting, and improving API-driven integrations across systems including ITSM platforms, onboarding tools, reporting environments, ERP ecosystems, and internally developed applications.
You will partner closely with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual processes, and build scalable integration frameworks that support the company’s long-term technology strategy. Day-to-day, you can expect to work across a variety of platforms — troubleshooting integrations, collaborating with infrastructure and applications teams, participating in architecture discussions, and contributing to documentation and governance efforts.
This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to directly influence the future architecture and integration direction of the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities and is equally comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Design, develop, support, and maintain enterprise API integrations across multiple internal systems and platforms.
- Assist with automation initiatives tied to onboarding, service management, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Support integrations involving platforms such as Freshservice, Lumos, UKG, Oracle/OIC environments, and internal applications and service catalogs.
- Troubleshoot and improve API performance, reliability, and monitoring.
- Develop scalable integration frameworks and reusable API patterns.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, applications, and business teams to identify integration gaps and opportunities.
- Assist in building and improving internal API management processes and governance.
- Support reporting and data movement initiatives through API-based solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions surrounding Azure DevOps, GitHub workflows, SDKs, and integration tooling.
- Help reduce reliance on third-party connectors by building more sustainable in-house integration solutions.
- Document integration processes, workflows, and technical solutions.
- 8 years of experience working with enterprise API integrations and/or integration development.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and modern integration concepts.
- Experience working with enterprise systems and cross-platform integrations.
- Familiarity with scripting or development languages such as Python.
- Experience troubleshooting API performance and integration issues.
- Experience working with workflow automation and service-based architectures.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- SDK integration experience.
- Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms, particularly Freshservice.
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Identity/access or onboarding workflow integration experience.
- Experience building internal tools or supporting in-house software initiatives.
- Manufacturing industry experience (not required, but a plus).
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting and data integrations.
