Job Description

You'll architect and manage the network backbone powering a world-class AI and cloud computing platform focused on General Machine Intelligence. This is hands-on engineering where you own the infrastructure that enables data movement, model training, and distributed computing at massive scale. You'll design resilient hybrid/multi-cloud network environments, troubleshoot mission-critical systems under pressure, and implement automation that scales across data centers and edge environments. Your work directly impacts how quickly engineers can innovate, train models, and deploy AI solutions.

The role blends strategic architecture with operational excellence—you're not just maintaining networks, you're building the foundation that makes next-generation AI compute possible. You'll collaborate closely with infrastructure, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to design solutions that align with business objectives and technical constraints. Critical focus: Advanced Mellanox Cumulus and Infiniband expertise required.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable data center network architectures for Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), hybrid/multi-cloud, and edge network environments
• Troubleshoot and provide in-depth support for network components including firewalls, switches, load balancers, spine/leaf architecture, Infiniband, and storage networking
• Architect and maintain advanced networking solutions involving BGP-VPN, EVPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, and Infiniband protocols
• Utilize network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and custom solutions (e.g., Netbox) to automate configuration, deployment, and management of networks
• Provide on-call support and monitor network systems to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability
• Ensure optimal operation of critical systems by implementing failover procedures and recovery plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement network solutions aligned with business objectives
• Provide technical mentoring to junior engineers and team members
• Implement and continuously improve operational best practices to optimize network performance and reduce downtime
  
  

Required Experience/Skills

• 5 years of hands-on experience in network architecture and troubleshooting at a data center level
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Mellanox Cumulus, Infiniband, BGP-VPN, EVPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, DNS, IPv4/v6, and Ethernet protocols (Mellanox/Infiniband expertise is critical)
• Strong expertise in network automation using Ansible, Terraform, or custom solutions (e.g., Netbox)
• Proven ability to design, deploy, and manage complex hybrid/multi-cloud network environments and edge network setups
• Experience with network components such as firewalls, load balancers, spine/leaf architecture, and storage networking
• Ability to work with operational processes such as on-call support, network monitoring, and failover/recovery procedures
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving network performance issues in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent
• Familiarity with cloud-native network architectures and containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience with network performance monitoring tools and cloud-based network management platforms
• Experience optimizing Infiniband networks for GPU clustering and AI workloads
