Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented EFT Card Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our client’s growing technology team. Under moderate supervision, you will play a critical role in certifying and assuring the quality of new and existing products by executing test plans and scripts to verify that software programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.
Day-to-day, you will collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business Analysts, and development teams to identify and refine test requirements, track and resolve defects, and communicate results across impacted departments. Duties And Responsibilities
- Execute and create test plans and clear, concise test scripts for new products or enhancements to existing products.
- Define moderate-level test scenarios and data variations to ensure thorough and adequate test coverage.
- Schedule and perform appropriate testing; submit errors and issues to development for correction and retest once resolved.
- Report test results and status as appropriate; track defects and perform causal analysis through to closure.
- Review and provide feedback on requirements, design, and scope documents.
- Interact with SMEs, Business Analysts, and development teams to identify and refine test requirements.
- Coordinate and perform testing projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring on-schedule completion.
- May submit test plans and test reports for review and feedback.
- May create and maintain test libraries, databases, and test environments.
- May assist with software change documentation updates or corrections.
- May serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical departments to ensure all targets and requirements are met.
- May assist with alpha and beta testing, including preparation of enhancement test plans for beta sites.
- May assist with education and training related to software enhancements.
- May assist with automated test scripts developed by team members.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.
- Experience with an EFT Transaction Simulator (a tool used to generate ATM withdrawal or merchant transactions into a switch for software testing); familiarity with ISO 8583 Message Format and ATM/Debit Routing.
- Experience with IBM hosted applications on zOS.
- Experience with test case automation — any style including unit testing, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with GCP and CI/CD pipelining.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
