This ***Certified Nursing Assistant/Health Care Technician I*** position within the Facility Infirmary and Medical Unit under the Nursing Department provides direct care to developmentally disabled individuals. As our individuals age, we recognize their needs, and focus on providing services to enhance their quality of life in a caring home-like environment. We provide treatment with dignity and respect, offering choices and options that support individuality. The person in this position will care for adults who are medically fragile and have significant intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities.
To be considered for employment the applicant must be in good standing with the NC Health Care Personnel Registry and will be required to successfully complete training through our Staff Development department which includes, but is not limited to NCI (North Carolina Intervention), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting. The CNA/HCT-I position requires frequent lifting and bending.
