- Responsible for the management of employees to include hiring, performance planning and evaluation, training, discipline, and scheduling.

- Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, and equipment used in a moderate scale food service operation.
- Considerable knowledge of the dietary requirements for a variety of therapeutic diets and diet textures.
- Ability to develop and use standardized recipes.
- Ability to estimate food quantities to supply the number of persons to be served.
- Considerable knowledge of procurement and inventory of food and supplies.
- Ability to evaluate and correct sanitation and food safety practices as set for in the NC Food Code.
- Considerable knowledge of management principles related to supervision of employees.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of employees.
- Knowledgeable in food service software.
- Bachelors degree in dietetics, food management, or hospitality management from an appropriately accredited institution.
- Two years of food service supervision experience.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs
