Floor & Home Carpet One is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Flooring Sales Consultant to join our team in Rapid City.

Your Role

As a Flooring Sales Consultant, you'll help customers navigate their flooring projects from start to finish. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Meeting with customers in the showroom and learning about their flooring projects
• Recommending products that match customers' preferences, practical needs, and budgets
• Helping shoppers compare products and make purchasing decisions
• Arranging in-home measurements and coordinating installation
• Developing estimates and reviewing project information with customers
• Answering questions and following up with customers by phone, in person, and online
• Keeping showroom displays clean, organized, attractive, and current
• Completing product knowledge and sales training
• Assisting with store promotions, special events, and marketing activities

What Makes You a Good Fit?

We're looking for someone who is personable, motivated, and comfortable working with customers. Successful candidates will have:

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• A positive attitude and a desire to achieve goals
• The confidence to guide customers through design and purchasing choices
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability for a regular retail schedule, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and occasional holidays
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Professional and courteous behavior with customers and coworkers
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record

Sales experience is a plus, but it is not required. New to flooring sales? That's okay. We provide hands-on training, product education, and ongoing support to help you learn the business and become successful in the role.

Pay & Benefits

Flooring Sales Consultants performing at national averages can earn $50,000 per year.

Schedule

Our showroom is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.

The position includes:

• 8 hour shifts
• Two days off each week, with every Sunday off
• Some holiday availability required
• Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day

This position requires occasional travel to customers' homes for measurements and estimates. A company vehicle is provided for these customer visits and all expenses covered.
