Carpet One Floor & Home is seeking a Team Leader for our Urbandale store. This is a working leadership position and the successful candidate will lead by example while maintaining an active sales role. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys both leading people and selling. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the showroom while remaining an active member of the sales team, helping customers with residential and commercial flooring projects. Job Location:
Urbandale, Iowa
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the daily operations of the showroom
- Set the example by actively selling flooring products and services
- Coach, mentor and motivate the sales team
- Conduct one-on-one coaching with the team
- Work closely with installers to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction
- Resolve customer concerns
- Maintain an attractive showroom and positive customer experience
- Build relationships within the local business community by attending events
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of sales and/or management experience
- Previous experience with any of the following is highly recommended: flooring, kitchen & bath, remodeling, building/lumber, home furnishings, or contractor.
- Strong knowledge of carpet, hardwood, luxury vinyl, tile and other flooring products
- Experience measuring projects and understanding installation procedures
- Ability to read blueprints and perform takeoffs is preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Self-motivated with a proven record of closing sales
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM/software systems
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary Starting at $80,000
- Performance bonuses $15,000 - $55,000
- Total earning potential of $95,000-$140,000
- $5,000 Sign-On Bonus - or - up to $10,000 Relocation Assistance for qualified hires
