Accountant

Carolina PRG has partnered with a growing international manufacturing organization seeking an Accountant to join its finance team. This individual will play a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, payroll, fixed assets, tax administration, and a variety of accounting and operational functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment with broad accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and support overall finance activities
• Lead key aspects of the month-end close process, including
• Journal entries and accruals
• Intercompany accounting and eliminations
• Financial statement consolidations across multiple entities
• Prepare monthly financial statements for management review
• Review and approve employee expense reports through the company's expense management system
• Administer sales tax processes, including tax-exempt documentation
• Process customer payments and maintain accurate cash receipt records
• Support the monthly payroll process, including retirement plan contribution uploads
• Own the fixed asset accounting function, including
• Asset additions
• Monthly reconciliations
• Depreciation calculation
• Assist with the annual external audit and coordinate with outside auditors
• Support federal and state tax compliance by working with external tax advisors
• Prepare and file required annual business registrations and compliance reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing/distribution environment
• Strong understanding of month-end close, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
