Role Overview
- The Recovery Support Assistant (RSA) plays a vital administrative and liaison role within the HUHC Behavioral Health (BH) Program for workers’ compensation. This position supports the successful onboarding, communication, and integration of behavioral health treating providers who deliver care to injured workers. The RSA serves as a primary point of contact for treating BH providers, ensuring that they receive timely, clear, and accurate information aligned with HUHC BH Program expectations. This role is instrumental in fostering strong internal and provider relationships, promoting clinical alignment, and supporting operational efficiency to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Facilitate the sourcing of in-network behavioral health providers.
- Communicate attendance of patient visits to relevant stakeholders.
- Obtain all necessary clinical documentation from treating providers after each patient visit.
- Communicate determination decisions to treating providers.
- Ensure approved treatment visits are scheduled via communication with treating providers.
- Ensure treating providers are following clinical documentation standards.
- Monitor provider responsiveness and communicate any concerns regarding engagement or adherence to timelines to Clinical leadership.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of introductory calls, case review meetings, peer-to-peer discussions, and/or training sessions with treating providers as needed.
- Promote positive provider relations by offering courteous, informed, and timely responses to questions and concerns.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Recovery Support Specialist, HUHC Intake personnel, HUHC Care Coordinator, and others, to ensure seamless communication and support throughout case lifecycle.
- Generate regular status updates regarding provider sourcing and communication activities.
- Support clinical and administrative functions as needed to advance BH program goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health discipline.
- Prior experience working in BH field or healthcare coordination setting strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with BH documentation, provider roles, and service delivery models.
