- Responsible for answering and operating the telephone console, determining nature of calls and directing caller to appropriate individual or department.
- Responsible for greeting, directing, and giving directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, employees, etc.
- Responsible for operating the intercom and paging system, locating personnel as requested.
- Must communicate emergencies, problems, or non-routine events to supervisor and/or appropriate personnel.
- Must maintain a written communication log of events for each shift.
- Communicate in a positive manner with team members, residents, families, visitors and vendors
- Adhere to facility policies and procedures, including infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations
- Responsible for maintaining a calm, supportive and caring environment for residents and staff
- Responsible for complying with all safety and sanitation procedures including universal precautions
- Responsible for attending in-service programs, educational workshops and meetings as required by the facility and state
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Excellent oral and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
- Friendly, courteous, profession
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast paced, customer driven environment
