- Assist in planning, developing, and implementing engaging daily activity programs
- Encourage and support resident participation through regular visits and relationship-building
- Lead and facilitate group and individual activities as scheduled
- Assist in gathering resident interests and contributing to individualized activity care plans
- Document resident participation and progress in activities
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate programs and special events
- Participate in resident council meetings and provide support as needed
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for residents
- Follow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
- Attend required trainings, in-services, and team meetings
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience in activities or a healthcare setting preferred, but not required
- Energetic, creative, and compassionate personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to remain calm and patient in emotionally demanding situations
- Comfortable working with elderly individuals, including those who may be ill or cognitively impaired
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents as needed
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
