Position Overview
- Provides direct nursing care in a cardiovascular stepdown unit, supporting patients recovering from cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries, as well as heart catheterization procedures.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans, assesses patient conditions, and communicates updates effectively.
- Acts as a primary coordinator among healthcare disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
- Follows physician and nursing orders and assists with discharge planning.
- Current RN licensure or eligibility in Alabama.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire, from AHA or Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school and professional licensure at hire.
- Participates in patient monitoring, documentation, and communication of patient status.
- Supports a collaborative team environment to deliver personalized patient care.
