Role Overview: Provides direct nursing care in a cardiovascular stepdown unit, caring for patients recovering from cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries, as well as heart catheterizations. Acts as a primary coordinator to ensure well-coordinated patient care, implementing and monitoring care plans, and communicating patient conditions effectively.
Responsibilities include: Assessing patient needs, carrying out physician and nursing orders, monitoring telemetry and post-operative management, and coordinating discharge planning with the healthcare team.
