What are the responsibilities and job description for the Locum Tenens General Surgeon position at CARIN Alliance?
Role: In-house locum physician providing adult patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities: Handle 1-3 patients per shift with 1-3 admissions per call, perform trauma and laparoscopic surgeries, and possess expertise in head/neck, breast, and vascular surgery. Conduct GI endoscopy procedures including upper, lower, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy. Place chest tubes, central lines, and PA catheters. Respond to calls within 30 minutes and provide leave coverage as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: Required skills include trauma and laparoscopic surgery, head/neck, breast, vascular surgery, GI endoscopy, and invasive procedures such as chest tube and central line placement.
